TARAKAN – Semangat kolaborasi lintas organisasi masyarakat kembali tumbuh di Kalimantan Utara. Pemuda Ikatan Cendekiawan Muslim Indonesia (ICMI) Provinsi Kaltara menggandeng Pimpinan Wilayah Aisyiyah (PWA) dan Pemuda Muhammadiyah Kaltara dalam menggelar Sosialisasi Penempatan dan Perlindungan Pekerja Migran Indonesia, Sabtu (25/10/2025) di Aula Universitas Terbuka Tarakan.
Kegiatan ini terselenggara melalui kerja sama antara ICMI Kaltara dan Kementerian Perlindungan Pekerja Migran Indonesia (P2MI). Mengusung tema “Kebijakan Perlindungan Pekerja Migran Indonesia yang Sesuai untuk Diterapkan di Kawasan Perbatasan Negara atau Daerah Transit”, acara ini dihadiri akademisi, tokoh masyarakat, tokoh agama, mahasiswa, hingga perwakilan media.
Ketua Pimpinan Wilayah Aisyiyah Kalimantan Utara, Mardiana, menilai gerakan kolaboratif seperti ini menjadi langkah penting untuk memperkuat perlindungan pekerja migran di wilayah perbatasan. Menurutnya, kondisi geografis Kaltara yang berbatasan langsung dengan Malaysia menuntut keterlibatan aktif seluruh unsur masyarakat.
“Momen kolaborasi antara ICMI, ormas, akademisi, dan masyarakat sipil ini menjadi bentuk perubahan nyata di Kaltara untuk Indonesia yang maju dan berkelanjutan,” ujarnya.
Ia menekankan bahwa penyelesaian persoalan migrasi tidak dapat dilakukan secara parsial. Sinergi lintas sektor dibutuhkan agar kebijakan perlindungan pekerja migran dapat dijalankan secara menyeluruh dan berdampak langsung di masyarakat.
Ketua Pemuda ICMI Kaltara, dr. Ihya Ulumuddin Rahawarin, menambahkan bahwa kolaborasi lintas ormas bukan sekadar formalitas, tetapi bentuk nyata keterlibatan anak muda dalam isu kemanusiaan. “Pemuda tidak boleh absen dalam kebijakan publik. Kita harus menjadi energi moral dan sosial yang menggerakkan perubahan,” tegasnya.
Ihya yang juga Ketua Solidaritas Migran Indonesia dan Perbatasan Kaltara (Sinar) menjelaskan bahwa perlindungan pekerja migran memerlukan pendekatan multi-disiplin — mencakup aspek hukum, sosial, hingga pendidikan.
“Kita perlu gerakan bersama agar migrasi menjadi jalan aman, bukan risiko baru bagi masyarakat perbatasan,” katanya.
Kegiatan ini juga menghadirkan narasumber kompeten seperti Prof. Dr. Yahya Ahmad Zain (Rektor Universitas Borneo Tarakan), Usman Afwan, S.E. (BP3MI Kaltara), serta perwakilan Kementerian P2MI, yang memperkaya diskusi tentang masa depan pekerja migran Indonesia di kawasan perbatasan. (*)
