TAJDIDOFFICIAL.COM, Pada pertemuan Sekolah Lansia ke-4 DCLA Sehati Kota Tarakan, Ahad 23 November 2025, peserta mendapat materi kesehatan khusus dari Ahmad Budi Anhar, S.Kep.NS yang membahas topik “Menjaga Kesehatan di Usia Lansia” dengan fokus pada diabetes.
Materi ini dihadirkan Majelis Kesejahteraan Sosial PWA Kaltara sebagai bentuk edukasi rutin agar lansia memahami risiko penyakit kronis yang banyak menyerang di usia tua.
Dalam penyampaiannya, Budi menjelaskan penyebab umum diabetes pada lansia serta faktor gaya hidup yang perlu diperbaiki.

Ia menekankan bahwa pola makan tidak sehat, kurang bergerak, dan jarang melakukan kontrol kesehatan menjadi pemicu utama meningkatnya kadar gula darah.
Para peserta diberi penjelasan sederhana mengenai cara membaca hasil gula darah dan apa yang harus dilakukan ketika angkanya melebihi batas normal.
Budi juga memberikan tips praktis seperti mengatur porsi makan, memilih menu sehat, memperbanyak aktivitas fisik ringan, serta menjaga kualitas tidur.
Sesi materi berjalan interaktif dengan banyak peserta yang mengajukan pertanyaan terkait gejala, pencegahan, hingga penanganan awal diabetes.
Melalui penyuluhan ini, para lansia diharapkan mampu menerapkan gaya hidup sehat dan lebih peduli terhadap kondisi tubuh mereka agar tetap produktif di masa tua.(*)
