News Tajdid, Jakarta – Ketua Umum Pengurus Besar Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH Yahya Cholil Staquf memaparkan strategi brilian yang diterapkan Rasulullah SAW dalam menyelesaikan konflik. Menurut Gus Yahya, Rasulullah sejak awal kepemimpinannya selalu mengupayakan jalan damai melalui perjanjian untuk menghindari peperangan.
“Rasulullah SAW telah memberikan contoh bagaimana menyelesaikan konflik melalui perjanjian sejak masa awal hijrahnya ke Madinah,” ujar Gus Yahya saat menjadi pembicara utama di acara Sosialisasi Konferensi Internasional Humanitarian Islam, Bogor, Kamis (24/10/2024).
Dalam kesempatan itu, Gus Yahya menjelaskan bagaimana Rasulullah SAW, ketika pertama kali tiba di Madinah, melihat berbagai suku yang kerap berperang satu sama lain. Untuk meredam potensi konflik, Rasulullah menginisiasi Piagam Madinah, sebuah perjanjian yang menjadi langkah awal terciptanya perdamaian antar-kabilah.
Gus Yahya juga menyoroti Perjanjian Hudaibiyah, yang diprakarsai Rasulullah saat menghadapi penolakan dari kaum Quraisy Mekkah saat beliau dan para sahabat hendak melakukan umrah. Perjanjian ini menjadi simbol Islam sebagai agama yang menghargai perdamaian dan hidup berdampingan.
“Islam Rahmatan lil Alamin, yang tercermin dalam perjanjian-perjanjian ini, mengajarkan kita untuk menghormati batasan yang dimiliki oleh pihak lain dan berupaya hidup dalam kedamaian,” tambahnya.

Gus Yahya menegaskan bahwa tidak semua peperangan dilandasi oleh agama. Konflik yang kita lihat saat ini sering kali berakar pada masalah teritori, sumber daya, dan persepsi bahwa pihak lain adalah ancaman. Menurut Gus Yahya, inilah yang menjadi dasar pengembangan gagasan Humanitarian Islam, yaitu Islam yang membawa solusi bagi kemanusiaan dan perdamaian global.
“Konflik-konflik antarperadaban yang kita saksikan tidak semuanya bermotif agama, melainkan karena masalah non-agama yang kemudian dikaitkan dengan agama,” jelasnya.
Humanitarian Islam, lanjut Gus Yahya, adalah sebuah upaya untuk membawa agama sebagai solusi, bukan pemicu perpecahan. Ide ini menjadi langkah penting untuk kajian perdamaian global, dan diharapkan dapat menghasilkan buku yang akan dipromosikan secara internasional.
Sosialisasi ini dihadiri oleh Dirjen Bimas Islam Kemenag RI Kamaruddin Amin, Ketua PBNU KH Ulil Abshar Abdalla, H Ahmad Suaedy, serta para akademisi dari IPB Bogor. Konferensi Internasional Humanitarian Islam ini juga akan melibatkan akademisi dari Eropa dan Amerika, memperkuat kontribusi Indonesia di panggung dunia dalam mewujudkan perdamaian berbasis kemanusiaan.
