Tarakan, 18 Oktober 2025 — Ketua Pimpinan Daerah Muhammadiyah (PDM) Kota Tarakan, Sabar Santuso, menegaskan pentingnya peran guru Muhammadiyah sebagai pelaku utama dalam dakwah pendidikan yang berkemajuan. Pesan itu ia sampaikan dalam kegiatan Pelantikan Forum Guru Muhammadiyah (FGM) Kota Tarakan periode 2023–2027 yang digelar pada Sabtu (18/10) dengan tema “Bersama Mencerahkan dan Mencerdaskan.”
Dalam sambutannya, Sabar Santuso menekankan bahwa FGM bukan sekadar forum seremonial, melainkan wadah strategis untuk memperkuat kompetensi guru, mempererat silaturahmi antarpendidik, serta melahirkan inovasi pembelajaran di lingkungan sekolah Muhammadiyah. Ia menilai kehadiran forum ini menjadi langkah penting dalam menjawab tantangan zaman, terutama di era digital dan globalisasi nilai.
> “Guru Muhammadiyah tidak hanya mendidik di ruang kelas, tapi juga berdakwah melalui teladan dan ilmu. Forum ini harus menjadi pusat gerakan pencerahan, tempat guru saling belajar, berinovasi, dan berkolaborasi untuk kemajuan umat,” ujar Sabar penuh semangat.
Ia juga menegaskan bahwa guru Muhammadiyah memiliki peran strategis dalam menjaga marwah persyarikatan di bidang pendidikan. Melalui FGM, para guru diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan budaya profesional, memperkuat integritas, serta menanamkan nilai-nilai Islam berkemajuan dalam setiap proses pembelajaran.
Kegiatan pelantikan turut dihadiri oleh sejumlah tokoh pendidikan dan organisasi Islam seperti Pimpinan Wilayah Aisyiyah Kalimantan Utara, FGM Kaltara, IGABA, PDA Tarakan, Majelis Dikdasmen Muhammadiyah, PGRI Tarakan, serta STIMIK PPKIA Tarakan. Kehadiran mereka mencerminkan sinergi nyata antar-lembaga dalam membangun mutu pendidikan di Kota Tarakan.
Dalam kesempatan itu, Wiliah, S.Pd., Gr., M.Pd., resmi dilantik sebagai Ketua Forum Guru Muhammadiyah Kota Tarakan periode 2023–2027. Ia menyampaikan komitmennya untuk menjalankan amanah dengan penuh tanggung jawab dan berupaya menjadikan FGM sebagai wadah peningkatan kapasitas dan solidaritas guru Muhammadiyah.
Selain prosesi pelantikan, kegiatan juga diisi dengan sharing session oleh Bekti Prastyani, Ketua Asosiasi Pendidik Berperspektif Hak Anak, yang mengajak para guru untuk membangun sekolah ramah anak dan memperhatikan keseimbangan antara akademik dan kesejahteraan emosional peserta didik.
Sabar Santuso menutup sambutannya dengan menyerukan semangat kolektif di antara para guru Muhammadiyah agar terus bergerak bersama dalam mewujudkan visi “Dari Tarakan untuk Indonesia Mencerahkan.” Menurutnya, ketika guru-guru bersatu dengan niat dakwah dan semangat profesional, maka Muhammadiyah akan tetap menjadi pelita yang menuntun bangsa menuju peradaban unggul dan berkarakter.
