Tarakan – Pimpinan Wilayah Pemuda Muhammadiyah (PWPM) Kalimantan Utara memberikan tanggapan terkait pembangunan Pesantren Jati Diri Bangsa yang berlokasi di Tanjung Palas, Kabupaten Bulungan, dan Desa Gunawan, Kabupaten Tana Tidung. Pesantren ini mengusung konsep pendidikan bela negara dengan menerima santri multireligi serta mengintegrasikan nilai Pancasila dalam kurikulumnya. Namun, konsep tersebut menuai pro dan kontra di tengah masyarakat.
Sekretaris Bidang Pendidikan dan Kaderisasi PWPM Kalimantan Utara, Jusri Hadirman, menyampaikan bahwa Muhammadiyah pada dasarnya mendukung penguatan pendidikan karakter dan bela negara dalam sistem pendidikan. Namun, ia menekankan bahwa pesantren seharusnya tetap berpegang teguh pada ajaran Islam sebagai fondasi utama.
“Kami memahami pentingnya pendidikan karakter dan bela negara, tetapi pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam harus tetap menjaga kemurnian ajaran tauhid dan syariat. Konsep multireligi dalam pesantren perlu dikaji lebih mendalam agar tidak mengaburkan identitas Islam,” ujar Jusri yang juga Guru Al-Islam di SD Muhammadiyah 3 Tarakan.
Menurutnya, dalam Islam, nilai-nilai kebangsaan dan nasionalisme sudah terintegrasi dalam ajaran agama tanpa harus mencampurkan konsep lintas agama di dalam pesantren. Pemuda Muhammadiyah menekankan bahwa pembinaan akhlak, moral, dan nasionalisme bisa dilakukan dalam koridor Islam tanpa menghilangkan esensi pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam.
Regulasi dan Standarisasi Kurikulum
Lebih lanjut, Jusri menyoroti aspek regulasi dan pengawasan dari pemerintah terhadap konsep yang diterapkan oleh Pesantren Jati Diri Bangsa. Menurutnya, kejelasan kurikulum sangat penting agar tidak terjadi penyimpangan dari prinsip dasar pesantren yang berlandaskan pada Al-Qur’an dan As-Sunnah.
“Kami berharap pemerintah melalui Kementerian Agama dan instansi terkait dapat melakukan kajian lebih mendalam terhadap konsep pesantren ini. Jika tidak sesuai dengan standar pendidikan pesantren di Indonesia, maka perlu ada evaluasi lebih lanjut,” tegasnya.

Selain itu, PWPM Kaltara mengajak seluruh elemen masyarakat untuk tetap menjaga kesejukan dalam menyikapi perbedaan pandangan terkait keberadaan pesantren ini. Muhammadiyah tetap berkomitmen untuk menjaga keutuhan NKRI serta memastikan bahwa pendidikan di Indonesia, termasuk pesantren, tetap berjalan sesuai dengan prinsip Islam yang benar.
“Kami akan terus mengawal isu ini agar tetap dalam koridor yang baik, demi menjaga nilai-nilai Islam dan kebangsaan di Kalimantan Utara,” tutup Jusri Mahasiswa Pasca Sarjana Univ. Muhammadiyah Malang.
